The Investigators: The Oracle

A religious tabernacle and its robed prophet, Nostradamus, The Oracle, fall under the scrutiny of insurance investigator Russ Andrews and Steve Banks when members of his fanatical following begin liquidating their endowment and annuity policies to turn the funds over to the Nostradamus Foundation in the second offering of " The Investigators." Guest star Lee Marvin, as the spellbinding religious leader, heightens the suspicions of "The Investigators" when Constance Moreno, a wealthy follower of Nostradamus who was expected to make a sizeable contribution to the foundation, dies under strange circumstances. Andrews and Banks, respectively, decide their best opportunity to scan the operation of Nostradamus would be in the person of associate Maggie Peters posing as one of his feminine followers. Miss Peters adopts the role of Mrs. Joanne Edgarton, a young widow who was a childhood friend of the late Miss Moreno, and this tactic produces surprising dividends. Also featured in the cast are Bill Davis and Danny Clayton, members of the investigating staff; June Kenny as Polly Walters , the firm's secretary; Audrey Dalton as Constance Moreno; John Williams as Joseph Lombard, chairman of the Nostradamus Foundation; and Sam Gilman, George Robotham, Morgan Jones, William Giorgio, William Woodson, Jennifer West, Frank Sully and Joan Granville.
