When a gypsy fortune teller predicts doom for Mr. Waverly's cousin Quentin Baldwin, Mr. Waverly sends Ilya on a "personal mission" to protect him. It does not matter; Baldwin dies, apparently a victim of his own dog! Investigation turns up a series of such incidents, all connected to an ambitious plot to gain controlling interest in Andrum Industries.
Robert Vaughn has a very small role in this episode, which showcases David McCallum. The show explanation is that his character, Napoleon Solo, had tripped over a cat and sprained his knee.
Waverly: Coincidence. Pure coincidence.
Napoleon: With all due respect to you, sir, I believe one of the first things you taught me was never to trust coincidence.
Waverly: Yes, I did, didn't I? But a human skull not more than an inch across? There's no such thing.
Napoleon: Well. Another thing you've taught me; that there was no such thing as "No such thing".
Waverly: And I wish you wouldn't try to confound me with my own intelligence, Mr. Solo.
