The Men Who Made Us Fat is a documentary series which sees Jacques Peretti attempting to trace those who are responsible for revolutionising our eating habits, to find out how decisions made in America 40 years ago influence the way we eat today.

Jacques attempts to find out the reasons why Britain is getting fatter. He looks at assumptions about what is and isn’t healthy, with some surprising results. He talks to Simon Wright, who worked as an organic consultant for Sainsbury’s in the 1990s, who explains how the food industry cashed in on the public’s concerns around salmonella, BSE and GM crops.
