In the near future, Peter is taking his pregnant wife Polly to the hospital so she can give birth. Dr. Wolcott greets them and explains that they can still choose not to have the OB3 machine help give birth to their child. They insist on doing right by the child and insist he use the machine. Based on the Ray Bradbury story "Tomorrow's Child" also known as "The Shape of Things". The story was first published in Thrilling Wonder Stories (February 1948).
Peter: These new birthing machines do everything but father the child.
Polly: Smart machine that knows where to draw the line.
Changes from the short story:
* Py's appearance here is a simple pyramid. In the short story, he has eyes and tentacles.
* Peter briefly considers smothering his child, a scene not found in the short story.
* At the end, Peter and Polly are transformed into larger blue pyramids. In the short story, they are white obelisks.
