Jonathan's pre-wedding toast puts a damper on his father's nuptials. Finally, Jonathan's father Walter wants to marry his fiancée Erika. They wil shortly tie the knot and have checked in at a five-star hotel. Jonathan is persuaded of the fact that his father has made amends and means to settle down seriously this time. His mother Sarah sees this absolutely different: For her, the new marriage of her ex-husband is condemned to failure. When the bridegroom is nowhere to be found on the wedding day, Jonathan goes on the search and finds his desperate father in his favorite bar. While Jonathan manages to persuade Walter to go on with his wedding, Trudy and Sam have fully different problems. They want to adopt a baby. Yet when it icomes to the matter of getting a police certificate of good conduct, Sam must confess to his wife that there is a dark spot about his past which he has never told her. However, Trudy's record is not quite so spotless, either. Can the pair still adopt a child?
