Captain Harlock is a classic animeRating: 3 likes, 1 dislikes
Captain Harlock, the living ship Arcadia, and his renegade crew of rebels fight the Mazones, exposes corrupt politicians on Earth and give the viewer one classic battle scene after another.

This anime as well is very character oriented. We learn about Harlock, Kei Yuki, Daiba and his dad, and later we learn about the origins of the living ship the Arcadia and it's creator. While the animation is a bit outdated, Harlock is a very well written piece of Anime. It's inspired a prequel, other series's and OVA's. In my opinion, it's definitely inspired other galactica anime out there.

There's lot of character development in this show. I like the way they mingle the adventures in space with elements of a real drama. Harlock is very mysterious and doesn't give out too many details about himself till later. Although he comes as iron, it's always with the best intentions. The Mazone aliens definitely are sexy and scary at the same time. This anime is lots of fun and always keeps things interesting.

Anyways, anyone who hasn't seen it but has heard of the mystique this series had now can finally see it on DVD.
