Episode Quotes
Ruth: Jimmy, if you're a woman and you're alone it can crush you like the earth falling in on you.

Adams: You can't make a man wanta live that's already dead inside.

Adams: Now don't get yourself worked up into a lather, Mr. Carr. You'll get your pound of flesh but it'll be sundown like I said.

Ruth: (to Jimmy) You're just like Pa. Filled with righteousness and hate.

Despite a good cast of guest stars (Shelley Winters, Dean Stockwell, Kent Smith) this episode flattens out early and pretty much lies there the rest of the way. Probably to be expected since it is an early episode and the producers were still experimenting with what was going to work and what wasn't.
