Macdonald Carey would go onto play Dr. Tom Horton on the NBC daytime drama Days of Our Lives from its inception in 1964 until his death in 1994.

Frank Cady would later play Sam Drucker on Petticoat Junction and Green Acres.

John Mitchum was the brother of famed actor Robert Mitchum.

Morgan Woodward is best known for playing the sinister Boss Godfrey in the classic 1967 prison drama Cool Hand Luke. Woodward would be Wagon Train's most frequent guest star with 14 appearances over the years.
