Wagon Train: The Caroline Casteel Story

Caroline Casteel was abducted in a Native American raid years before but now her husband receives word that she's still alive. Held captive by Indians for ten years, Caroline is freed and returns to claim a husband and son. Only wagonmaster Hale is sympathetic as others openly resent the "Indian." She's also suspected of not being the lost wife of her claimed husband, and for good reason.

Episode Quotes
Hale: You'll find out you're not a stranger, Mrs. Casteel. You're a legend.

Scofield: (to Caroline) Don't you try to cross me or you'll wish you'd stayed with the Utes.

Hale: A lot of history has been written in the past ten years and some of the chapters are pretty grim.

Hale: It takes a lot of courage to stand against public opinion, Charlie.

Casteel: (about Caroline) She's changed, Chris, deep down. Sometimes I think she's more Indian than white.

Caroline: You and Jamie could have had a good life if I hadn't come back.

Episode Goofs
Nitpick: Why wouldn't Frank Casteel have recognized right from the beginning that "Caroline Casteel" was an impostor? Surely, she hadn't been gone that long.
