Episode Quotes
McCloud: There are times I feel this town doesn't appreciate me.

Hawkes: How come all these people left Bedrock at the same time?
McCloud: Well, sir, the town just didn't seem to have much future.

Wooster: (to Merlin) A fellow magician, huh? Wait'll you seem some of my tricks.
Duke: There's this one where he takes a perfectly good piece of meat and turns it into shoe leather.

McCloud: Sometimes I wish I was an only child or an orphan.
Lola: I wouldn't recommend it.

McCloud: (to Hale) We thought we'd get away from the strangler. Looks like we brought him with us.

Barnaby: Is this all the food you brought me?
Wooster: A detective has to learn to travel on short rations.
Barnaby: I think I'd rather be a scissors grinder.

Wooster: I've been working on this case and I intend to turn the guilty party over to you in 24 hours.
Hale: Charlie, a word of advice, just tend to your cooking.

Wooster: (to Barnaby) A good detective knows evidence when he sees it. He don't have to know what he's lookin' for.

Episode Goofs
Charlie Wooster refers to Mrs. Knudsen (the first murder victim) as Mrs. Newton twice in the dialogue.

Episode References
Did the writers choose the name of the town of Bedrock after the one in The Flintstones as a joke or was it coincidental?

Perhaps the best episode of the series. Definitely the best color episode.
