A childrens show that was aimed primarily at deaf children, but not to the exclusion of others.
Zzzap! first aired on CITV in 1993, and was a show set out as a giant comic book in the sky. Through fifteen minutes , there would be shown four different character scenes, these characters were as follows.

Cuthbert Lilly He's Dead Silly - (Richard Waites) A complete madman trying to make his way through life, and always trying to do odd jobs. Everything he does ends up in a mess.

Smart Arty - (Neil Buchanan) An artist who is very skilled at making art out of large objects. Every episode Arty would make a giant picture out of lots of stuff he found.
The Handymen -(Sarah Pickthall) Two gloved hands - one blue, one yellow. These hands would do something different every episode. They main stuff was making food and performing tricks.

Tricky Dicky's Mission Impossible - (Richard Waites) Dressed in black and grey this bloke's mission was to challenge kids. Every episode he would set the kids a special task, and every episode they won, meaning that Tricky Dicky lost.

Over twelve seasons zzzap changed and new characters were introduced, those being Daisy Dares You (Deborah McCallum and Claire Macauley) and Minnie The Mini Magician (Sophie Aldred.) In 2001 Zzzap! was cancelled and hasn't been shown since. Though there have been five video releases.
