A local teen and sports star is gunned down. His brother, the leader of a local gang, believes it to be a rival gang and wants blood for blood. Van and Deaq think differently and need Aquarius’ help to hold off the vengeance that the brother wants. They start to believe that the killer might be a wealthy magazine owner with psychotic tendencies. Deaq must try to get close to him before the bloodshed begins.
Deaq: We find this killer, we ain't turning him over to no lynch mob.
Aquarius: I don't want more blood. You guarantee me justice, I'll guarantee you the same.
Deaq: Now all we have to do is convince Billie.
Van: Ya, fun part.
Van: Step away from the donkey, sir.
Deaq: What you doing with this donkey? Ya know what? Never mind.
Van: Ya know, you're very computer savvy. I didn't even know you could type.
Deaq: Playing XBOX translates to other useful skills.
Van: You going in like that?
Deaq: Like what?
Van: Fully strapped through two security check points. I mean, it might cause some negative attention when the alarms go off.
Van: I mean, wouldn't want you to die knowing, ya know, you never got a chance to apologize to me.
Deaq: I won't.
Van: Won't die or apologize?
Aquarius: I'm sorry.
Billie: I think you think you are.
Aquarius: Same thing, baby-girl. Either way, it's still true.
Billie: How are you pulling this? I mean, Aquarius knows you're cops. What is he telling Garavato?
Van: That we're like Mr. Wolfe from Pulp Fiction.
Mr Wolfe was a character, played by Harvey Keitel, in the 1994 film, Pulp Fiction, that was called upon to fix impossible circumstances.
Kid on the Street: A car like in the movie Ferris Bueller.
The car in the 1986 film, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, was a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California.
Aquarius: When I hear you talk now, all I hear is McGarrett, Five-O style.
This is a reference to the 1968 police drama, Hawaii Five-O, that lasted 12 seasons that was based in Hawaii about an elite branch of the Hawaii State Police that was headed by Det. Steve McGarrett, played by Jack Lord.
