The award was presented to Martin at a Gala Tribute on June 4, 2015 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The Tribute special will be broadcast on TBS Saturday, June 13, at 10:00 p.m. (EST/PST), with an encore at 11:30 p.m. (EST/PST). Sister network TCM will present an encore of the special on Thursday, July 30, at 8:00 p.m. (EST/PST) during a night of movies starring Martin. For his enduring contributions to the vast and varied worlds of art and entertainment, the Trustees of the American Film Institute have selected Martin as the recipient of its 43rd Life Achievement Award — an honor that celebrates the consummate artist's commitment to cinema and the many other art forms he's mastered.
