I love these shows because they challenge what you think you know. It wants to break open the close minded people who claim they know everything or think that we humans have been everywhere on the planet.
Having said that everything can be faked, but then so can every picture, tv program, ... I find it good that most of them are hunters so they know the woods and what to look for. They also use "common sense" and dismiss certain claims as "probably not possible".
Having said that the show is also FUNNY as hell. that wild bill character cracks me up all the time.
Conclusion: This show is waaaaaaaay better then some "high rated snot" that some tv stations and production houses make. eg americas next super model, siberia, and many others.
If there is such a thing as mothman, the wampus beast, the hairy man, ... is a thing that you must make up for yourself. But remember keep an open mind :)
