Update: Joan Rivers Tributes Airing in the US, UK and Canada

E! will tonight air a E! News special entitled 'Joan Rivers: Celebrating An Icon' on the network at 9.30pm, the special will also be aired in the UK and Canada on their carriages of the channel.

After reporting earlier today that CBC in Canada had pulled the episode of 'Just For Laughs' hosted by the late Joan Rivers, they have now brought the programme back into the schedule for September 12th. Changing the episodes title to 'Joan Rivers - Can We Talk?'. The summary reads;

"Joan Rivers at her outrageous best from the prestigious stages of Montreal's Just For Laughs festival
featuring Tom Papa, Laurie Elliott, Lynne Koplitz, Colin Mochrie & Brad Sherwood."

The show will air in the shows normal slot, Friday at 9pm.

Also airing tonight in Canada, a special episode of 'etalk' will air at 9.00pm on E! Canada. The episode entitled 'etalk Presents: Can We Talk? Remembering Joan Rivers', will look at Rivers career and will be presented by Ben Mulroney.

In other news, UK broadcasters Channel 5 and itv are airing classic Joan shows. Tonight, Channel 5 altered it's schedule to fit a repeat of the Graham Norton episode of the channel's talk show 'The Joan Rivers Position' at 10.35pm. Whilst tomorrow, itv will air a repeat of 'An Audience With Joan Rivers' first shown in 2005 at 10.35pm. Digital UK channel, WATCH are yet to issue a statement regarding the October 5th episode of 'Choccywoccydoodah: Starstruck' set to feature the star who commissioned a cake from the London based chocolatier, asking them to produce a cake that had less then 150 calories per slice.

The comedienne's funeral will take place this Sunday.
