Which TV Shows Won Big In Monday Night Ratings?

It's Tuesday, December 5th, and with it another round of Monday night TV has come and gone, kicking off the big ratings scores for the week.  Some shows have already taken on their winter hiatus and others pre-empted by holiday events and award ceremonies, but what took the biggest piece of the pie?

Did you watch the Country Music Awards, hosted by Kristen Chenoweth?  Were you hooked on Castle and Beckett handcuffed together for "Cuffed," or did you root for McGarrett to save the little children on Hawaii Five-0?  We’ll tell you what America was watching, and the big winner from last night’s ratings might surprise you!

In the 8 o'clock position, CBS unsurprisingly ruiled the night with How I Met Your Mother, delivering a whopping 11.7 millions viewers, its highest numbers since 2009.  Building on that was 2 Broke Girls, which brought in a surprising 12.8 million, also scoring the 18-49 demographic lead.

ABC also brought in impressive numbers with its back-to-back specials, A Charlie Brown Christmas earning 9.1 Million, and Prep & Landing 2: Naughty Vs. Nice bringing in 7 million.  No slouch was FOX, whose Country Music Awards nabbed 7.3 million over all.  Let's see Terra Nova beat that!

Trailing were NBC's A Sing-Off Christmas and The CW's Gossip Girl, netting 4.4 million and 1.3 million viewers, respectively.

At 9:00, Two and a Half Men unsurprisingly grabbed the 18-49 lead with 15 million viewers, its follower Mike & Molly taking just below 2 Broke Girls' numbers with 12.7 million.  FOX's CMA's remained strong the second hour into its timeslot along with NBC's Sing-Off Christmas.

NBC traded places with ABC for the second-to last slot, with You Deserve It bringing 3.6 million, and The CW's Hart of Dixie trailing with 1.8 million

Onto the 10pm slot, CBS's Hawaii Five-0 surprisingly nabbed the lead from ABC's well-publicized Castle "Cuffed," the former bringing 10.8 million (and the 18-49 lead) to Castle's 8.05.  In last place, was NBC's Rock Center with Brian Williams at 3.4 million viewers.
