'American Horror Story: Coven': What to Expect from 'The Sacred Taking'

Gabourey Sidibe in American Horror Story: Coven

For the most part, I'm a huge supporter of the holiday season. The decorations, the food, the family bonding…it's all great. But last week's Thanksgiving Eve had one big thing missing from it this year — a new episode of 'American Horror Story: Coven.' And I don't know about you, but I get a little cranky without my weekly helping of horror, so thankfully we're back on track this week with a brand new hour of bewitching goodness…or rather, evilness.

But you don't have to wait until Wednesday night to get a taste of what's to come of our favorite little coven of witches. I was able to catch this week's episode of "The Sacred Taking" earlier today and have a bunch of juicy teasers at my disposal. As always, I promise not to give away too much information, but if you're a stickler about spoilers then I suggest you look no further.

For those of you still reading, start getting excited because this episode marks the spark of a slow burn as we make our way closer and closer to Season 3's epic climax. As a dark cloud forms over Miss Robichaux's Academy, battle lines are drawn and almost everyone has a target on their back. But don't just take my word for it. Feast your eyes on all the diabolical details below!

-Queenie gets in touch with her inner Edgar Allan Poe. Take that to mean what you will.

-Patti LuPone is back as the bible-obsessed Joan Ramsey and she is none too thrilled with her son Luke's ongoing association with their wicked neighbors. (Apparently saving someone from a zombie attack means very little these days.) And just wait until you see how she distributes her own unique form of punishment.

-That three-way between Zoe, Madison, and FrankenKyle may sound okay in theory, but in reality it's starting to get a bit rocky, especially after one of them lays their true feelings on the line.

-Fiona gets visited by a few Ghosts of Killings Past, which leads to a rather interesting turn of events concerning our ailing Supreme.

-Witch hunter Hank hits an unlikely mark, which opens Cordelia's eyes (figuratively speaking, of course) to who the real Big Bad is.

-Misty Day joins the coven for a deadly mission that could weed out the new Supreme.

-Delphine and Marie Laveau's epic battle for revenge finally comes to a head.

Are you even more excited now for this week's episode? If so, then I consider this to be a job well done. And, as always, please feel free to share all of your thoughts and predictions in the comments below!

'American Horror Story: Coven' airs on Wednesdays at 10/9c on FX.

I hope Farmgia gets out of this non hot mess. They've made her laughing stock this season in favor of that domestic violence arrestee. Total joke and waste.

lol, it didn't even sound 'okay in theory' it was one of the most stupidest plot lines in any show I've come across. Expected so much more from AHS. Great waste of a season. First two very good but this feels like vampire diaries.

Tbh the only character worth anything is Spalding. If he's not in the episode, then I'm not watching.
