Alaska Off-Road Warriors

The show pits five teams of two in a grueling off-road challenge across Alaska. Journeying from the Pacific Ocean to the Arctic Ocean, this is an intense expedition and an adventure of epic proportions. From the muddy terrain to the unpredictable wilderness, these teams will travel across eight of the most dangerous and rugged trails in the world. The trails will be divided into two legs and the team with the lowest aggregated time from all the trails will be named the winner. As they race against time–and each other–the perils of their journey will not only test their trusty vehicles, but the teams themselves. Which team will be the victor of this quest to find out who can navigate the extreme wilderness of Alaska? (Source: The History Channel)

If you have or still own Jeeps or other 4 X 4 and spend your weekends in the mud you might like this show. Its about a race across a section of Alaska by a group with assorted make 4 x 4 vehicles, with the winner getting 100 grand. For those of us who are 4 wheelers there's nothing new here, mud, getting buried, winching out, driving a while, and more mud again. I am puzzled at these supposedly expert off roaders, as I have yet to see anyone air down their tires. They all have winches, some carry planking and shovels, some drivers are jerks and others stay remarkably clean, even when their vehicle is half buried in the gumbo. It brings back many memories of my Jeeping and buggy days in the Florida Everglades, and rock crawling parts of the US Rockies. Its worth watching, especially when you are now sick of Todd and Parker. Read more
