Recap

In Bethesda, Maryland, Amada Weil goes looking for her daughter Harper. Harper is with the other children out on the lawn, but the girl is off to one side talking to her imaginary friend, Drill, and explaining that Amanda got mad and told her that Harper couldn't play with Drill anymore. Harper complains that Amanda doesn't listen to her, but that her father would have but he's off being a scientist. Amanda calls Harper in, and Harper explains that she's talking to Drill and still earning the rules for the game. When Amanda jokingly invites Drill to join them for lunch, Harper says that Drill would be "amenable" to the invitation. As they go in, Harper says that the game has already started and runs up to her room. Amanda's sister Liz calls and the phone briefly fizzes out due to static. Episode Quotes
Dr. Karif: You're saying it did not crash.
Wes: I'm saying it looks like it was grabbed from the sky and ripped to shreds.
Peter: By what?
Wes: Or by whom?

Jessup: Let's just say it hasn't escaped the people's attention that you took a leave of absence before your husband died, the same time the assistant director did. There are those who don't think it's a coincidence.
Claire: How about you? What do you think?
Jessup: I think marriage is complicated.

Jessup: Said you had a son?
Claire: Yeah. Henry
Jessup: How he's handling everything?
Claire: Two years ago, he got sick. He lsot his hearing. Three months ago he lost his dad, so... how do you think he's handling everything?

Claire: "You'll get through this." That's what people say, don't they? They said it to me. It really pissed me off. What exactly does it mean to "get through this"? Through what? What's on the other side? I didn't want to get through it. I wanted to die... in it. And then my mom, she said that grief is like a suitcase that sits at the bottom of your bed. And no matter what, without fail, you have to pick it up every day, take it with you. Some days, it will be filled with rocks, and you won't think you can carry it. And then other days... light as a feather. That, she said, is "getting through it." It made sense to me.
