On Thin Ice is a documentary series which follows Ben Fogle and James Cracknell as they get ready to compete in the South Pole Race. The duo are not only determined to complete the race but to win it as well.

Ben, James and Ed rest as they make it to the midway point in of the race in second place. As the race continues the conditions take their toll on the team. When James suffers with frostbite it threatens him finishing the race.
