2 Broke Girls

2 Broke Girls is a comedy which follows two young women Caroline and Max and their job at a greasy spoon diner. While working together, they strike up an unlikely friendship with hopes of starting up a successful business. However, there is one problem, they don't have any money.

The two women come from two different worlds. For one, Max has to work two jobs just to make ends meet and for the other, Caroline is a sophisticated uptown trust fund princess who is now forced to give working as a waitress a shot after a "run of bad luck".

At the diner they work with some interesting characters, Oleg, a Russian cook, Earl, a 75-year-old cashier and restaurant owner, Han Lee.

Recaps
1x13: And the Secret Ingredient recap: Caroline walks up to Oleg’s window and asks for a burger, the customer want’s it with Munster cheese, Max stops Caroline and tells her that they are out of Munster. Caroline asks, since when? Max tells her the diner opened in ’82, so they have been out of it for 29 years. Caroline apologizes to the customer but he is very arrogant. He complains that he wanted Munster but they just don’t have it. Max tells the man to go and talk to the principal because he is acting like a child. Caroline stops her and takes over, she again asks the man if he wants anything else as she hands him a menu, he tells her the menu sucks, he wanted Munster. Caroline can’t take him acting like a baby anymore; she replies, half yelling at him that she wanted to be running a fortune 500 company instead of waiting on winey man-children like himself. She then walks away. Max walks over to Earl at his counter and asks him if he has any fun plans for the evening. He tells her he is, “Just trying to NOT die in my sleep, Max; how bout you?” Both Max and Earl try not to laugh; Max scratches her head and tells Earl that they are going to visit Chestnut. The lady that takes care of her is able to give her everything. The girls are talking and a woman walks up and politely asks them for a tampon. Caroline looks but doesn’t have one, she gives the woman a quarter and directs her to the tampon machine in the ladies room... read more.

1x12: And the Pop-Up Sale recap: Max walks over to Earl’s counter and asks him to break two, $20’s. “The big spenders at table two, wanna split their eleven dollar check, three ways; Even though one of them doubted eating.” She told Earl after leaning in to him. He laughs and tells her, “I was in a three way once…Same thing happened.” He laughs again, when Han comes running over to Max. He wants to remind her that it’s very important to pick up the customer comment cards. She tells Han that she is not a fan of them, he notices Max seems annoyed and asks her to “pump the breaks on the sour waitress routine” and to cheer up. The only way that could happen would require two “double A” batteries and a twenty minute break... read more.

1x11: And the Reality Check recap: Done for the night, Caroline meets Max at the register to cash out, she tells that the last table they had; had “stiffed them,” but had left their camera behind. Max takes the camera and puts it in her pocket. “I’ll give it to Oleg and let him take one of his “special” pictures, than everyone will get stiffed.” Just then Earl announces that he is leaving; he wants to get home before the storm comes. Caroline comments about the 50 degree temperature outside but Earl insists. He could not tell that his first wife was going to leave him but he sure is positive when there is a storm coming. He walks out the door and Max turns to talk to Caroline again. “So what’s the plan? What are we going to do if it does snow? You’re so white I’m afraid I’m going to lose you.” Caroline loves the snow, but she’s used to enjoying the snow when she’s rich and since she’s not she has an illegal horse living with her that needs to be kept warm and sheltered. Caroline is convinced that it is not going to snow for weeks and that Chestnut will be “fine,” but Max is worried. Max makes fun of Caroline’s knowledge of weather patterns and her explanations of why there was a “soon to be” horse’s ghost haunting their apartment. She walks into the kitchen, throws Oleg the camera and tells him to take a picture of his “junk.” He instantly catches the camera and responds, “done.” Max continues to walk into the walk-in refrigerator. She stops and turns back around to look at him. He is undoing his pants to take the picture. “You’re not going to even ask why?” She questions him. “No need.” He replies as he fumbles with his pant string. Max smiles, opens the door to the fridge and walks in... read more.

1x10: And the Very Christmas Thanksgiving recap: Max walks up to Earl, he’s much better dressed than usual. “Oooo look pretty sharp today Earl, ya goin somewhere special?” He replies “Max, I’m free, black and 75. Who knows what the night will bring.” Max hands him a $20 and asks him to break it like he just broke her heart. “Pop, Pop!” He puts two $10’s on the counter. Max then walks over to Caroline sitting at a booth counting her tips. They begin to reminisce about Thanksgiving. Max tells Caroline that when she thinks of Thanksgiving she remembers jumping into a pile of leaves and finding a used condom; when Han walks up carrying two cornstalks and some decorations. The stalks are taller than he is so it makes it look as if he is part of the decoration. Caroline tells Max she and her dad would go and feed the homeless before going to their vacation home. Han tells the girls he is staying at the diner overnight to decorate. Max and Caroline suggest to Han that he keep the diner open and feed the homeless. He tells them it is expensive and that he can’t afford it. Oleg then steps in, having money from selling cheap cigarettes and offers to buy turkeys. Earl offers pies and the girls offer to work for free... read more.

1x9: And the Really Petty Cash recap: Caroline runs over to Max, plates clenched in her hand, smiling. She tells Max that it’s a customer’s 50th birthday and the woman’s husband wants them to sing “happy birthday” to her. Han tells them to “fake smile.” So they do. Max and Caroline walk over to the booth and begin singing. Max singing normally and Caroline singing like she is auditioning for Broadway. Max stops her, and yells “NO!” She then turns to the couple and tells the woman that “it’s bad enough your husband is taking you to a DINER on your birthday” you shouldn’t have to also listen to “fake Mariah.” Caroline sings the end of the line from the birthday song and walks away. Han had been thinking about what Max was saying. The “birthday song” was, outdated. He wrote his own song to replace it. Caroline looks over it and tells him it’s lovely. Han flips out thinking he’s not good enough. He walks away, Johnny walks in and asks Caroline if Max was there. Caroline runs to Max telling her he must have dumped Cashandra. Max shows some cleavage and walks out to Johnny. He wants to keep the “special relationship” that they had. He wanted his friend back. He asks if they could be cool again? Max agrees to be cool and to go back to “busting balls” like normal. Max is so excited she may even bust his balls with her feet!.. read more.
