In 1988 he married English actress Suzanne Danielle who was born Suzanne Morris and they are still together today.

The legendary Louis Leo "Lou" Holtz is the special guest today on "Feherty". From 1960 to 1968 he was a College Football assistant Coach. He went to "William & Mary" where he was the Head Coach for 1969 - 1971. He next coached at "North Carolina State" 1972 - 1975. He followed this up with 1 year as the Head Coach of the NFL N.Y. Jets in 1976 but he decided College coaching is where he belonged. From 1977 to 1983 he was the Head Coach of the "Arkansas Razorbacks" followed by a Head Coaching position at "Minnesota" for the 1984 - 1985 seasons. Up next for Lou was possibly his greatest and most well known tenure as the head Coach of "The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame" where he coached from 1986 to 1996. During his tenure there he had 100 wins, 20 loses and 2 ties.
