Antiques Road Trip sees some of the country's top antiques experts sent on a road trip across the country in a classic cars as they compete against one another buying and selling antiques. The winner is the one who makes the most money from their initial £200 stake.
Paul Laidlaw and Christina Trevanion take part in a road trip to look for bargains they hope will make a profit at auction. They make their way through Suffolk and Cambridgeshire before heading to their first auction in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.
Since the introduction of the antiques road trip, I have become an ardent viewer of this program. I think that the antique experts are of a high standard, and very entertaining especially Tim Wannacott who is a great presenter, my concern lately is the way the experts and the dealers are reducing the value of the purchasing by extreme amounts and creating a situation that the buying public are given a pretext that creates a situation that is not attainable by the general public trying to purchase items from antique shops - it is all false.
