Arrest and Trial

Arrest and Trial

An ambitious 90 minute crime drama that aired on ABC during the 1963-64 TV season, Arrest and Trial was a precurser of sorts to Law and Order which premiered some 25 years later. The first 45 minutes of the series were devoted to the crime and the arrest of the suspects whlle the second 45 minutes dealt with the trial itself. Ben Gazzara, Chuck Connors, and John Larch starred. The series lasted only one season mainly because a 90 minute continuing drama was considered too long for television audiences in that era.
