The Blog Cabin 2014 one-hour special follows Chris Grundy, host of Cool Tools, as he helms the renovation of a rundown prohibition-era bungalow. For the first time ever, the Blog Cabin home was moved from an urban lot to a beautiful lakeside spot on Lake Hamilton in Winter Haven, Florida. But before it could even be moved safely, and with as little impact on the community, the crew had to disassemble parts of the house. Once situated on the lot, the DIY hosts pop by to renovate the room or space they know best.
Yardcore goes lakeside to get the Blog Cabin party started the second guests step off the boat. They'll turn a blase boardwalk and boat dock into an upscale club setting that boasts cantilevered platforms studded with native palms, a custom bar island faced with plantation style shutters set on top of locally raised cypress stumps, a second floor open deck with statuesque Ipe railing and hand built Adirondack lounge chairs, and floating hammocks set over a party platform that sports a big screen television.
