Mac, played by Rob McElhenney
Mac craves acceptance and is constantly trying to fit in with those around him. For example, he once tried to become a member of the mob when he was rejected by the rest of the gang. He also felt neglected when he found out that a school teacher had molested many students but not him. Mac had a short relationship with Carmen, a transsexual with a noticeable bulge in her jeans. However, the romance was thrust into oblivion when he refused to be seen in public with her. Mac doesn't think things through very well and continually just conforms to those around him.
As children, Mac and Charlie spent a lot of time together doing normal kid activities like huffing glue, burning G.I. Joes, and throwing rocks at cats. Mac's father spent the majority of Mac's life in prison. As a result, he missed out on a lot of father-son bonding. The two later reunited, which Mac tried to use as an opportunity to regain those lost moments. |
