The Miss USA Pageant is a beauty contest that has been held since 1952. Delegates from all 50 states and the District of Columbia compete in three competitions: evening gown, swimsuit, and interview. The winner goes on to the Miss Universe Pageant.
From 1960-1964, the pageant was included as part of CBS's Miss Universe
broadcast. The pageant has been televised as an individual event on CBS from 1965-2002 and on NBC starting in 2003.
