Penguin Island is a documentary which follows the daily lives of the penguins living on Phillip Island and the team of rangers and scientists who keep track of them and protect them.

Rocky finds it hard to feed Tilda, the last of the surviving chicks, after her mother abandons her. Wildlife carer Marg Healy demonstrates how tiny knitted jumpers can prevent penguins from absorbing fuel following an oil spill in the area.
