Stuck with Hackett

If you were stranded far from civilization with the basics covered: food, water, and shelter, what would you do to do more than just survive? How would you thrive? There's no need to eat bugs like a survivalist, or dig a hole to sleep in. Soon you'd be craving those modern conveniences you so easily take for granted. Each episode has the same format. Hackett, An engineering alchemist, finds himself alone in an environment. How did he get there? Who cares! He's there and he's going to explore and take his basic existence and ramp it up! The range of places and experiences is wide -- snowy, wet, woodsy, prairie, ruined cities, rugged or not. Hackett will transmute base material into mechanical gold. Why?
