Originating as Romance Classics back in 1997 as a sister station of American Movie Classics, they first began broadcasting movies dealing with love in a no-commercial format. But like AMC, the switched their programming as well as their name and are now known as We--Women's Entertainment. The format was changed from movies to a mixture of reruns, movies and first run programs, all dealing with women as the main subject. Popular first run series include Bridezillas, American Princess and John Edward Cross Country.
