Bret Michaels to pimp out RVs on 'The Travel Channel'

Bret Michaels’ RV will soon be rockin,’ yet he’d like you to come a-knockin.’

Bret Michaels

“Rock My RV” will appear on The Travel Channel in 2013. Production on the eight-episode, half-hour series will begin in November.

A team of skilled, custom RV designers and fabricators will transform regular RVs into rockin’ mobile mansions.

“For the past 25 years, Bret Michaels has spent at least nine months out of the year in a tour bus that he personally designs from top to bottom,” Andy Singer, Travel Channel general manager, said in a release announcing the series. “We couldn’t think of a better front man than Bret for the series. He lives and breathes life on the road and undoubtedly holds the record for most hours logged in a custom coach. Bret jumped at the chance to share his passion for travel and the RV experience through this fascinating, obsessive world of customizing RVs. We wanted him, and he wanted to do this - it is a great partnership.”

“Between touring and travelling, I spend a lot of time on the road and my tricked-out, custom coach is my home away from home,” Michaels said. “I crisscross the country and live in my tour bus, and I know how to take an RV from ordinary to extraordinary. I can’t wait to put my expertise to use and show people how to make their RVs rock.”

Michaels has also starred in VH1’s “Rock of Love,” “Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It;” competed on NBC’s “The Celebrity Apprentice” and judged on “Nashville Star.”

I live in a camper because I had nowhere else to go. I have no running water and no power as someone cut off my power cord. I sure could use a knowledgable person to help me fix it. I'm on a fixed income so repairs are slow and only the ones I know how to fix. It's a 70's model holiday. Don't know much more about it. Please help.

I am a 75 year old gypsy woman. I drum, belly dance and raise general mayhem. My son and my nephew are rockers. My son has his own band, Heavy Metal, sings & plays lead guitar. My nephew has 80's rock band, sings and plays guitar a little. I guess it is in our blood. I have a 1986 Chev. II Georgie Boy, 50,000 miles, runs good, parked in RV campground now. I have fixed it up like a gypsy wagon inside but it needs some work outside and maybe on the engine. I don't know. I'd like to make it less girlie and go with the rock n roll look.Actually, being an artist also, I wanted to paint it like a 60's wagon with peace signs and all kinds of neat stuff but my son said I'd better not. I'd be stopped by every cop out there for drugs. I wouldn't get anywhere. Are you still doing this? I'd love for you to look at my Georgie Boy.

Hello Mr.Bret Michaels. Hope your doing well.We are selling our little place in Beaverdell B.C. next year. The population is only 350 people. 1 hour away from everthing.Time to go. Been here for 10 years. We are two middle aged parents (50 and 51). We also have two beautiful preeteens. Adam 13 and Katie 9. We will be getting a 38-40' Diesel Pusher. If we sell. And we sure hope we do.We wil go all around the country. Seeing and learning. Experiencing life. We will be doing homeschooling. I mentioned to my partner Dorothy of 15 years that it would be good to have a rolling business as we move around and experince more of life. Bar-B-Que Business.10 minutes later your had a show with that Red Fire coloured Sausage truck. That was awseome. We will be getting married next year sometime. When..???We've known each other for 38 years. She laughed at me when I said that I was going to write you guys. I said to her whatever.(She's perfect). I'm just grateful for what I have.We haven't even gone on a vacation. We want to travel and be more free. And of course be as happy as we can be.Either way it will be a good year next year.I will have a wife. And I'll still have my kids. Anyway keep us in mind. All the best and Happy New year to you all and your families. P.S. Your guys rock when it comes to their work.

My husband and I bought a 99 winnie last year so we could travel with our foster kids and take them places that they would never get to see. While I would love for our rv to be chosen to get a make over, it is fun to watch others get the facelift and get some clever ideas to do ourselves to improve our ride!
