'Mr Selfridge's' Gregory Fitoussi to leave after series finale

Gregory Fitoussi has quit his role as Henri Leclarie in the popular drama 'Mr Selfridge'.

The hunky Frenchman, who plays the creative director in the hit ITV period drama has revealed he will leave the show in the series finale.

ITV bosses have hopes that won't be the last time that he will be seen in Selfridge. Show executives are keen to persuade Fitoussi to return at some point during its next run.

A source said: “Henri will be seen leaving the store in the finale episode of the first series. Show bosses really want him to return.”

'Mr Selfridge' has already been commissioned for a second series and filming will begin later this year.

Meanwhile, Aisling Lofts who plays shop assistant Agnes Towler has been discussing her kiss scene with Fitoussi.

She told the Sun newspaper: “When I told my friends about the kiss they were all sick with jealousy. Gregory is gorgeous. And he's as gorgeous in person as he looks- he isn't a dirty dog like you might expect of someone that attractive.”

When we filmed the scene I was so nervous...it was nerve-racking at first, and then fine. And Gregory was such a gentleman.”

The series finale of 'Mr Selfridge' is to air on Sunday, March 10th on ITV.

Are you glad to see Henri leave?

To several commenters, in the UK, TV seasons are referred to as "series". So from a UK point of view, the wording is correct.

...but with a series finale, doesn't everyone have to leave? in the US, anyway, a season finale is when the show goes on hiatus while there's hopefully more filming and editing for the following season, and a series finale is the end of a show, period, no more episodes, none! what the fuck!? so many idiots these days.
