Honey Boo Boo is coming back.
Alana Thompson, star of TLC juggernaut “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” and her family will return for a second season this summer.
“This summer, get ready to watch the family take part in hijinks like butter rolling, tap dancing lessons and wrestling events,” TLC said in a statement this morning.
“Will the girls continue their mischievous plots to embarrass beautimous Mama? Will we come across a new Southern delicacy like multi-meals? What will be the next outrageous thing to come from Alana’s mouth? And will smexy Sugar Bear make the decision to finally put a ring on it?Viewers better redneckognize, because Boo Boo’s back.”
“Toddlers & Tiaras” spinoff “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” scored a whopping 2.2 million viewers earlier in August and a 1.6 in the coveted 18-49 demographic. The show centers on a six-year-old Georgian named Honey Boo Boo and her colorful family. Honey Boo Boo was a pageant contestant featured in “Toddlers & Tiaras,” which follows very young pageant contestants and their always-sassy mothers.
The series is the third-most-watched on the network.
The season will also feature “Mama” June Shannon marrying “Sugar Bear” Mike Thompson, which took place yesterday. All three of the couple’s daughters were in attendance.
