Thirty-year-old comic actor Adam DeVine is all over the place these days. Earlier this year, he starred in another successful season of Comedy Central's 'Workaholics.' More recently, he booked the recurring role of Andy, male nanny (or "manny") to 'Modern Family' patriarch Jay Pritchett (Ed O'Neill) and his beautiful wife Gloria (Sofia Vergara). And a few weeks ago, DeVine embarked on his first solo series, 'Adam DeVine's House Party.'
Also airing on Comedy Central, 'House Party' premiered on Oct. 24, and will end its eight episode initial season on Dec. 20. Each episode features a mix of stand-up performances by various up and coming comedians and scripted storylines taking place during the titular party. Sadly, '90s staples Kid 'n Play do not make an appearance.
'House Party' is the latest in a well received 2013 freshman class for Comedy Central. 'Kroll Show,' 'Nathan for You,' 'Inside Amy Schumer,' 'Drunk History,' and the Chris Hardwick hosted '@Midnight' have also all been renewed for new seasons next year. In fact, the only Comedy Central original program to get canceled this whole year has been 'The Jeselnik Offensive.' Sorry Anthony.
The second eight episode season of 'Adam DeVine's House Party' will hit the air in 2014. The remainder of Season 1 can be seen every Thursday (well, technically Friday) at 12:30 a.m EST.
