Think Extreme Home Makeover but with an Animal Planet twist. Animal shelters around the country are in desperate need of help; they are underfunded and overtaxed but determined not to turn away any animals. With America Build a Shelter, viewers identify deserving animal shelters in need of renovations to help with their noble missions.
