Started in the studios of Philadelphia's WFIL-TV Dick Clark hosts one of the nations longest running and most popular dance shows.
Aired weekly ,audiences watched local teens dance,Rate-A-Record and listen to all genres of music.
The show was moved to Los Angeles in 1964 and featured regular dancers and the opportunity for many musical artist to have their first national television exposure.
