In this hybrid reality-comedy-improv series, Phil Hurley, the owner of KYTX Channel 19, a small Texas news station, is in search of a way to improve his mediocre ratings. To do so, Phil made a move that shocked the town of Tyler, Texas: he hired an ex-WWE diva, Lauren Jones, with no news experience as his new anchorwoman. Lauren wants to prove to the world that she's more than just a pretty face, but the entire newsroom thinks that Phil made a huge mistake. Current anchor Annalisa Petraglia is determined to not lose her status to the new L.A. model. Lauren will struggle to make it in an unfamiliar environment and town, but will the ratings improve? Only time will tell.
