Brimstone

Brimstone

Ezekiel Stone (Peter Horton) was a police detective, and a good one. But fifteen years ago his wife Rosalyn was raped by Gilbert Jax. Stone sought revenge and killed Jax, making it look like a drug overdose. Two months later, Stone was shot during a robbery… and died.

Stone spent 15 years in Hell. But now, 113 prisoners have staged an escape and The Devil (John Glover) wants them back. He needs a hunter, and sends Stone back to Earth to track them down and kill them. Each prisoner’s name is tattooed in an ancient tongue on Stone’s body: each one he sends back, the tattoo disappears. To send them back, he has to destroy the eyes, the “windows of the soul.”

The longer a prisoner stays in Hell, the more of its power they gain. So some of the prisoners, who were in Hell for millennia, have incredible powers and abilities. Plus any damned soul can only be injured by another soul, but are immune to any Earthly force.

If Stone can send back all 113 souls, then the Devil has promised him a second chance at life on Earth. But the Devil is the Prince of Lies. And if Stone fails even once, he goes back to Hell for good.
