CBS Morning News

The CBS Morning News began in 1960 as an hour long morning show similar to CBS News This Morning/The Early Show series before the morning news broadcasts expanded into interviewing talk shows. In 1982 it was called The CBS Early Morning News. Presently it airs before many stations air a regional news broadcast from 5:30AM-7:00PM with The Early Show after that. Hosts were Sally Quinn, Bill Kurtis, Diane Sawyer, Jane Wallace, Phyllis George, Faith Daniels, Forrest Sawyer, Douglas Edwards, Charles Osgood, Victoria Corderi, Giselle Fernandez, Meredith Viera, John Roberts, Monica Gayle, Jane Robelot, Troy Roberts, Cynthia Bowers, Thalia Assuras, and Julie Chen. Susan McGinnis is present host.
