Hardball with Chris Matthews is a talk show on MSNBC (previously CNBC) hosted by Chris Matthews.

Hardball features popular politicians and political analysts talking about political issues. Though oringinally moderate (sometimes even conservative) in tone during its early years, the show (and host) got noticably more liberal after the election of George W. Bush to the presidency. By 2008, Hardball had become little more than a cheerleading vehicle for the presidential candidacy of Barack Obama.
