Raven Symone officially begins her rising actress/musician career in this sitcom, comedy aired on Disney Channel about a pyschic teenage girl. Her visions in the show are sometimes bad things and sometimes good. While Raven gets these visions, she often times tries to prevent the not-so-good ones as well, getting herself into tricky situations which often times include dressing up as someone who she's not (IE: A police officer, a dancer, a plumber etc. etc.) One episode also included a music video where Raven dreams of herself being a famous singer...singing a song titled, "Some Call it Magic". That episode officially began her music career...and truthfully the song is very catchy and describes her character, Raven Baxter, quite well. The other actors/actresses in this show include, Orlando Brown as Raven's best guy-friend, Eddie, and at the end of the show's airing her "kind of" boyfriend/crush. The cast also included, Kyle Massey as Raven's Brother, Corey, who grew up following Disney Channel as a teenager and gained his own Television series called, "Corey in the House" which was a "bounce off" of "That's So Raven". Anneliese van der Pol is another actress on the show who plays Raven's ditsy best friend, Chelsea, who was air-headed and enjoyable (although sometimes annoying) who was featured on one of Disney Channel's CD's singing a cover of an original Disney Channel song...she dissapeared after "That's So Raven" was canceled and hasn't been doing much with acting or music lately. All in all, "That's So Raven" was very much enjoyable, while not always the funniest, but with an excellent plot line that balanced "teenage" with "supernatural." Read more

Though I haven't seen many of the episode (due to the fact that my Cable Service Provider does not provide us with The Disney Channel) I enjoy watching the back-to-back episodes on Saturday mornings on ABC. I think Raven Symone is a great actress and I also think she is hot. I also enjoy Chelsea. Orlando Brown is also a great actor and is extremely funny. But by far my favorite character on the show is Corey Baxter! He is funny and cool! Raven's parents are also funny but in the episodes I have seen Raven's mom isn't featured that much. Read more

Recaps
4x4: Unhappy Medium recap:
Raven, Chelsea, and Eddie are at Bayside by their lockers. They see a camera crew and one of their favorite actresses coming down the hall, then a director checks the school hallway, to see if it's perfect for the movie's final setting.
Raven has a vision of the actress choking on her mango saltwater taffy. When Raven's vision has almost come true, Raven lunges out at the actress, tackling her to the ground.
The actress' body guards lift Raven off of the actress, then drags her down the hallway.
Raven explains that she was just trying to prevent the actress from choking on her mango taffy. The actress is curious as to how Raven knew what flavor of taffy it was, and Raven lies, stating that it was a guess.
The actress is disapointed, hoping that Raven was a psychic that could prepare her for her role.
Raven, really wanting to hang out with the actress, quickly reassures her that she is psychic.
They go back to Raven's house, where the actress explains that she lives next door to Usher in Malibu, and that Raven can come with her on her private jet.
The actress expects Raven to act dramatically, but Raven just acts like her normal self -- which bores the actress.
The actress leaves abrupty, and Raven is upset about not getting to go to Malibu. When Eddie and Chelsea come over to Raven's house, they are furious that Raven just didn't act like a stereotype psychic so they could get to go to Malibu.
Raven decides to invite the actress back over, and over-acts like a psychic on T.V., and the actress eats it up. Raven tells her that she had a vision of the actress of her being voted "The Best Actor on the Planet."
Raven suddenly has a vision that someone is going to be fired from the movie, and she assumes that it is going to be the actress.
Raven sneaks on to the set as a zombie, and messes up the actress' portrayal of a "real psychic" which gets her fired. Raven is relieved, but the actress is furious, yelling at Raven for messing up her scene.
Raven tries to explain that she only acted like that so she could go to Malibu, when the actress cuts her off and tells her that it was never going to happen, and she was just yanking her chain. Raven then has a vision that the actress is going to be voted "The Worst Actress on the Planet." Since the actress lied to her, Raven doesn't tell her.
