A.T.O.M (Alpha Teens On Machines), is a modern day revamp of the old M.A.S.K concept, (the franchise is now owned exclusively by Hasbro, having long purchased Kenner Toys), under the Action Man franchise banner.

Drafted into an organization by the mysterious Mr. Lee based on his incredible extremist skills, Axel Manning is joined by four other qualifying candidates, each with different, tremendous physical traits, to pilot the incredible veichles designed by the Lee Foundation to clean up Landmark City, as it is struck with a severe and violent crime wave initiated by former spy turned crime lord Alexander Paine.

For Manning, the resources of the Lee Foundation, and his new team provides to him the perfect opportunity to seek vengeance on Paine, whom he believes murdered his father years ago.

With the aid of his new team, Shark, Lioness, Hawk, and King, Manning, under the codename "Axel", battles Payne's forces, but is there more to this battle than it seems?
