Big Brother 20th AugustCBS opened the evening with 'Big Brother', with the ninth Power of Veto competiton this season featuring, the show attracted 6.64 million viewers (2.3/9 18-49 Year Olds Share). The channel then aired a double bill of drama 'Extant' with the episodes 'More in Heaven and Earth' and 'Incursion' as Molly became convinced her baby was still alive, attracting 5.57 million (1.0/3 Share).

 

America's Got Talent 20th AugustNBC aired a recap of the current season of 'America's Got Talent' at 8pm, attracting 5.68 million viewers, (1.1/4 Share). This was followed by week 4 of the Quarterfinals, at 9pm, attracting 9.43 million viewers (1.9/6 Share). Following that at 10pm a new episode of 'Taxi Brooklyn' aired entitled 'Double Identity', in which a maid from El Salvador's shooting was investigated, attracting 4.6 million (0.8/3 Share).

 

Motive 20th August ABCABC aired a repeat episode of 'The Middle' at 8pm, attracting 3.38 million viewers (0.9/3 Share). A repeat of 'The Goldbergs' at 8.30pm, attracted 3.26 million (0.9/3 Share). This was followed at 9, by a hour of repeats of 'Modern Family' episodes attracting 3.73 million (1.2/4 Share) at 9pm and 4.03 million (1.2/4 Share) at 9.30pm. A new episode of Canadian import 'Motive' aired at 10pm, as Flynn and Vega investigated the mysterious murder of a writer, attracting 3.97 million (0.8/3 Share).

So You Think You Can Dance August 20thFOX aired the top 6's performance on 'So You Think You Can Dance' from 8pm, attracting 3.45 million viewers (0.9/3 Share).

 

Penn & Teller: Fool Us Piff the Magic DragonThe CW aired 'Penn & Teller: Fool Us' at 8pm, in an episode featuring Piff the Magic Dragon and Mr Piffles, Alan Hudson and Damien O'Brien, attracting 1.69 million (0.5/2 Share). The channel then aired a repeat of 'The 100' at 9pm, attracting 420,000 viewers (0.1/0 Share).



Late Night

Kathy Griffin on The Late Show'The Late Show with David Letterman' aired on CBS at 11.35pm, with guests Kathy Griffin, Ken Burns and Jeremy Messersmith, attracting a 1.9/5 Nielsen share or a 0.4/2 18-49 (years old) local share. 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson' aired a repeat at 12.35am, attracting a 0.9/3 nielsen share or a 0.2/2 local share.

 

Jared Leto on The Tonight ShowOn NBC, 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' welcomed guests Jared Leto, Amy Brenneman, Thirty Seconds To Mars, and Tom Bailey at 11.35pm, attracting a 2.6/7 Nielsen share, or a 1.1/5 local share of the audience. This was followed by a repeat airing of 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' at 12.35am, attracting a 1.1/4 Nielsen share, or a 0.4/3 local share. At 1.35am, a repeat of 'Last Call with Carson Daly' attracted a 0.6/3 Nielsen share or a 0.2/2 local share.

 

Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC'Jimmy Kimmel Live' aired a repeat on ABC at 11.35pm, attracting a 1.7/4 Nielsen share, or a 0.5/2 local share. 'Nightline' followed at 12.35am, attracting a 1.1/4 Nielsen share, or a 0.3/2 local share.
