Three-time Grammy Award-winning musician Pharrell Williams has signed on for the Style Network's Styled to Rock program, a fashion competition that is being executive produced by Rihanna.
Williams, who appeared on NBC's The Voice, will be one of the mentors during the series 10-episode run. Twelve fashion designers on the rise will competed head-to-head for the right to be crowned the next trendsetter and get the chance to work with A-list entertainment-industry talent.
“We are delighted to have Pharrell, who is a driving force in both the music industry and fashion world, serve as a mentor on ‘Styled to Rock,” said Salaam Coleman Smith, Style Media president. “Pharrell's unique aesthetic and commitment to individuality combined with Rihanna's vision for this series will enable our aspiring designers to hone their craft and learn from the very people who set the trends.”
Williams is best known for his work with The Neptunes and as the lead vocalist for N.E.R.D. In addition, he has several clothing lines, such as Billionaire Boys Club, Billionaire Girls Club, Bee Line and ICECREAM. He has also designed jewelry and accessories for designers such as Louis Vuitton.
