Daniel Sackheim is an American film and television director and producer. Sackheim's father was a screenwriter, and Daniel started out in the TV business as a music supervisor and associate producer on 80's mainstay 'Miami Vice.' His directing career began with a 1991 episode of 'Law & Order.' He would direct six more episodes of the show. In 1994, Sackheim won an Emmy for directing the 'NYPD Blue' episode 'Tempest in a C-Cup.'

He also directed acclaimed 'X-Files' episodes like 'Deep Throat,' 'Conduit,' and 'The Host,' while also serving as a producer on the series. Sackheim's relationship with Chris Carter continued, with Daniel serving as a producer on both 'Millennium' and 'Harsh Realm.' He also directed episodes of both series. Other directing and producing credits include 'Judging Amy,' 'Night Stalker,' 'House,' 'Las Vegas,' 'Life,' and 'Lie to Me.' Sackheim most recently directed episodes of 'The Walking Dead' and 'The Americans.'
