Trivia

He auditioned for a V.J. position on MTV. He didn't get it.

He was a talk-show host in numerous projects for a long time until he was asked to guest-star in the 1995 Sidney Pollack re-make of "Sabrina." After that, he started being offered movie roles.

He attended the University of Arizona, where he graduated in 1985 with a degree in broadcast journalism.

He hosted, co-wrote and co-produced the E! network's "Talk Soup" from the very beginning. He won an Emmy (along with the rest of the show's producers)--although he was the one who kept it.

Kinnear was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity at the Arizona University.

Lived abroad in locales including Lebanon and Greece.

While attending high school in Athens, he made his first foray into broadcasting by hosting a talk show on Armed Forces Radio entitled “School Daze with Greg Kinnear”.

After his success as a host of "School Daze With Greg Kinnear" and “College Mad House,” he would become the creator, co-executive producer, and host of "Best of the Worst" which ran from 1990 to 1991.

His family moved around a lot as his father worked for the Foreign Service. He claims he grew up a "Foreign Service brat"

He has two daughters.
