Husband and wife team and Royal Shakespeare Company players Dame Judi Dench and Michael Williams star in a much-admird comedy series from the early 1980s. She plays Laura, who is thirty-seven and unmarried. He plays Mike, also single. Laura's sister, Helen, (Susan Penhaligon) is anxious to see Laura 'married off' and introduces her to Mike at a party. The relationship is awkward but they pretend they are getting along well to keep Helen happy
