Anita talks to a rural farming community that lost its livelihood to foot and mouth disease, and the horse whisperer whose life was turned around by her love of the animals.

Matt pays a visit to a farm in Buckinghamshire at harvest time, where some old-fashioned methods are used to bring in prehistoric varieties of wheat. Ellie has news about the harvest at a government licensed crop of opium poppies and a scheme to preserve the harvest mouse. John is joined by Bill Bailey and Naomi Wilkinson to select the 12 finalists for this year's photographic competition.
