Tonight is a factual news programme which takes a look at the issues affecting the United Kingdom and the rest of the world.
Originally titled 'Tonight with Trevor McDonald' between 1999 and 2007. Trevor then left the show as lead anchor and become part of a rotating roster of presenters, presenting the more high profile episodes.
In 2010 Julie Etchingham began presenting the show, although some episodes are presented by other correspondents.
