Josh Duhamel


Joshua David Duhamel was born on November 14, 1972, in Minot, North Dakota. His father, Larry Duhamel, is an advertising salesman, and his mother, Bonny, teaches physical education. His parents got divorced when he was just a kid, and after that he lived with his mother. He has three sisters, named Ashlee, Kassidy, and McKenzee.

Duhamel went to Minot State University, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with hopes of being a dentist someday, though he was never actually was accepted into dental school. He was quarterback on the university's football team, and still enjoys sports to this day. After dabbling in construction, he began working as a model in California, doing spreads for fashion magazines – in 1977 he even won the IMTA "Model of the Year" award.

His first notable television role was as the character Leo on the daytime drama, All My Children. He played Leo from 1999 to 2002. He was later cast on the hit prime time show Las Vegas in 2003, as Danny McCoy, and as the star of the film, Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! (2004).

In 2004, People magazine listed him as one of the "50 Most Beautiful People”. Duhamel was once engaged to fashion model Kristy Pierce, but more recently has been dating singer “Fergie" (Stacy Ferguson) from The Black Eyed Peas.
